The University of Luxembourg, a leading international research university, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in Social Science for its Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (FHSE). This postdoctoral position is embedded within a research programme led by professorial staff and carried out in an interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will engage in research activities and may contribute to selected teaching activities relevant to the project's thematic scope, including limited involvement in Bachelor or Master level teaching and supervision of student work. The role also involves contributing to academic publications and disseminating research results in international scholarly venues.

Applicants should hold a PhD in social science, ideally in conflict research, communication studies, media anthropology, or a related field. Required qualifications include experience in mixed methods approaches, field research, and quantitative and qualitative analytics, as well as an excellent publication record. Previous experience with research projects in the Global South and/or humanitarian aid contexts is desirable. Experience in designing and delivering online trainings, especially those contributing to academic teaching, lifelong learning, or continuing education, is considered an asset. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Luxembourgish, French, German, or other languages is a plus. Willingness to engage in teamwork within research groups is essential.
