Requirements
Applicants must hold a UK master's degree or international equivalent in economics or a related discipline, preferably at merit or above. Demonstrable quantitative and programming skills are required. Applicants must submit a strong research proposal in relevant areas (e.g., microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, political economy, industrial organisation, sports economics). Required documents include a research proposal, university transcripts and degree certificates, passport details (for international applicants), English language certificates (for international applicants), a personal statement (with 'ULMS-GTF-2026 studentship' in the title), a CV, contact details for two proposed supervisors, and names/contact details of two referees.
