Welcome to ApplyKite, a service offered by Plangton LTD. By accessing or using our website www.applykite.com or dashboard, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the service.

Help Center

Account Types

We offer three types of accounts:

  • Basic Account: Free access to limited services.
  • Premium Account :Access to enhanced services for a fee.
  • Pro Account :Access to all features and services for a fee.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.Accounts are for individual use only and may not be shared or resold.

Age Requirement

The service is intended for individuals aged 18 and above. By using ApplyKite, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Data Security & Privacy

Your personal data is securely stored in compliance with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR where applicable). For full details on how data is collected, used, shared, and stored, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

Uploaded Content & User License

You own all content you upload (CVs, documents, messages, etc.). By uploading content, you grant ApplyKite a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to process and display it solely to deliver and improve our services. We do not use your data to train external AI systems.

AI Features & Accuracy Disclaimer

ApplyKite uses AI-powered tools for recommendations, writing assistance, and academic discovery. AI outputs are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies or outdated information.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated result. You remain fully responsible for how you use AI outputs.

You agree not to submit AI-generated content from ApplyKite as academic work without independent review or verification. ApplyKite is not responsible for any academic penalties, rejections, or disciplinary actions resulting from the use of AI-generated content.

Payments and Refunds

Payments for Premium and Pro plans and for the Booster AI Credit are processed via Stripe, PayPal, or other supported gateways. We do not store or access your payment details. Prices are shown before you pay, in your local currency where available.

Subscription Cancellation

  • Monthly Premium and Pro plans renew automatically each month unless canceled. Yearly plans are paid once for 12 months and do not renew.
  • You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from your account settings.
  • After cancellation, your plan remains active until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
  • Canceling stops future renewals only. It does not refund any payment already made.
  • To cancel auto-renewal, go to Settings → Plan & Billing in your dashboard.

Changing Plans

  • You can upgrade from Premium to Pro at any time. Pro starts as soon as you pay and replaces Premium, which stops renewing. The unused part of your Premium plan is not refunded or credited.
  • You can move from monthly to yearly billing on the same plan. The yearly plan starts when the month you have paid for ends.
  • Downgrades are not available: you cannot move from Pro to Premium, or from yearly to monthly billing, while your plan is active. To move to a lower plan, cancel auto-renewal and choose the new plan once your current plan has ended.

Booster AI Credit

  • The Booster AI Credit is a one-off purchase available to Premium and Pro members.
  • Its credits are used only after your plan's credits run out, and they expire 12 months after purchase.
  • Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, exchanged or refunded.

No Refunds

All payments are final and non-refundable. This includes monthly subscriptions, renewals, yearly plans, upgrades, the Booster AI Credit, and any unused time or credits, including when you cancel or close your account.

By starting a paid plan or buying a Booster AI Credit, you ask us to give you access straight away and you acknowledge that, once it has started, you lose any right to cancel it and receive a refund, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be excluded.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Misuse or disrupt the platform.
  • Share, sell, or rent your account.
  • Upload illegal, harmful, or confidential third-party data.
  • Attempt to bypass security or access others' information.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these rules.

AI Chat Usage

When using ApplyKite's AI chat features:

  • Do not submit personal information that you do not wish to be processed.
  • Avoid entering sensitive data about others without their consent.

We are not responsible for any output generated in response to unlawful, misleading, or inappropriate input.

You agree not to submit AI-generated content as academic work without conducting your own independent review. ApplyKite is not liable for any academic penalties, rejections, or disciplinary consequences resulting from the use of AI-generated content.

Intellectual Property

All content and intellectual property on ApplyKite, including but not limited to text, visual design, layout, branding, graphics, logos, user interface elements, features, software code, and underlying architecture, is the exclusive property of Plangton LTD and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, reverse engineer, disassemble, scrape, clone, frame, mirror, or otherwise exploit any part of ApplyKite's platform or its content for any commercial, competitive, or derivative purpose without our express written permission.

We actively monitor for infringement and reserve the right to pursue legal remedies against individuals or entities that copy or misuse our intellectual property, including injunctions and claims for damages.

Service Availability & Downtime

We make reasonable efforts to ensure uptime and data safety, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for:

  • Data loss caused by system or user errors.
  • Downtime or outages.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plangton LTD is not responsible for:

  • Loss of data,
  • Lost opportunities (including academic or funding outcomes),
  • Business or personal losses,
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Reliance on AI outputs.

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to stop using it.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms or for fraudulent or abusive activity. You may stop using the service at any time.

If you delete your account, you will not be able to create a new account using the same email address for 7 days. This restriction is applied for security and abuse prevention purposes.

Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Continued use of the service indicates acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Disputes will be handled by the courts of the United Kingdom, without limiting your local consumer rights as required by law.
