Now Hiring: 2 Funded PhD Students – Fall 2025 or Winter 2026
Industrial Systems Engineering, University of Regina
I’m currently recruiting two PhD students to join exciting, real-world research projects in the jointly with the Industrial Systems Engineering program at the University of Regina. Both positions are funded through NSERC and focus on the development of advanced optimization and data-driven models to address timely and impactful challenges.
Position 1: Food Bank Operations – Prediction & Optimization Models
Ideal candidates should have:
- A strong background in optimization modeling
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB)
- Knowledge of machine learning or forecasting is an asset
Position 2: Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure – Location Optimization
Ideal candidates should have:
- Solid experience in optimization and operations research
- Familiarity with stochastic optimization is an advantage
- A background in industrial engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field
