This is an interdisciplinary project supervised by Alistair Geddes and I at University of Dundee to evaluate the influence of different gridded population datasets on predictions of GLOF impacts. If you used one such population dataset rather than another would you significantly over- or under-estimate the number of people possibly at risk from GLOFs?
The project benefits from collaboration with our partners at Red Cross Red Crescent’s Climate Centre Jahir Anicama Diaz (el/he/him) and is focused on Peru ???? (though project outcomes will have much broader significance).
Deadline is 10th April, 5pm. Do get in touch with Alistair or myself if you want more information (contact details in weblink below).
This is part of the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science ‘Interdisciplinary’ PhD scheme.
