About this position
I am happy to share that one of the greatest professors from my college, Dr. Min-Hyun Kim, is offering an amazing PhD opportunity in Nutritional Biochemistry at Arizona State University, starting Fall 2026! ???
PhD Opportunity in Nutritional Biochemistry at Arizona State University
Hello LinkedIn! I am currently seeking a motivated PhD student to join my research group ( www.kimlabasu.com ) in the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University, starting Fall 2026.
Our lab investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying obesity and metabolic syndrome, with the goal of developing novel nutritional and pharmacological interventions. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in nutritional biochemistry, molecular biology, and physiology, and a passion for understanding diet-gene-epigenome interactions in the brain.
The PhD student will be part of our exciting NIH R01-funded project, which investigates the brain regulation of metabolic hormone signaling in obesity, using transgenic mouse models, brain organoids, and cell cultures. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please email the following materials:
? CV
? Personal statement (= 2 pages) summarizing your research experience, research interests, and motivation for pursuing a PhD
? Names and contact information for 3 referees
Email: [email protected]
Learn more about our work: www.kimlabasu.com
Thank you!
