The University of Notre Dame’s Doctoral Program in Sustainable Development is a STEM-designated PhD program designed to prepare scholars to address critical global challenges through interdisciplinary research and policy-relevant scholarship. Admitted students receive comprehensive financial support: a 12-month stipend, full tuition scholarship, health insurance subsidy, and up to $4,000 for conference presentations and professional development. Students must also apply for at least one external grant or fellowship by Year 4.
