Recently, the university invested $45 million to bring in the NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD supercomputer, making us one of the top universities in North America with the most powerful AI computing capabilities.
In addition, Mays Business School - Texas A&M University has become the first university in the U.S. to partner with the AI search engine Perplexity . This collaboration will introduce this cutting-edge AI tool to students, faculty, and staff across campus, significantly enhancing academic and learning experiences.
At a time when the NIH has cut research funding—capping indirect costs at 15%—many top universities are facing financial strain, leading to reduced research projects, layoffs, and even rescinded PhD admissions. Yet, Texas A&M remains strong and continues to drive AI innovation and development forward.
