About this position
The Laboratory of Energy Science and Engineering (LESE) at ETH Zurich, led by Senior Scientist and Lecturer Paula Abdala, is seeking a motivated PhD candidate to join their research on structure–activity relationships in CO₂ capture materials. This project is part of the NCCR Separations program and aims to accelerate the discovery of next-generation CO₂ sorbents with significant climate impact.
The research combines material synthesis, advanced operando characterization techniques (including X-ray absorption, total scattering, and vibrational spectroscopy), and molecular modelling.
