Funding
The position is fully funded according to the Dutch universities' collective labor agreement, with a gross monthly salary between €3,059 and €3,881 for full-time employment. The contract is for 48 months (4 years), starting with a one-year appointment and possible renewal for three more years. Additional benefits include 232 vacation hours per year (based on a 38-hour workweek), an 8.3% end-of-year bonus, 8% holiday allowance, and extensive opportunities for personal and professional development

Requirements
Applicants must have a Master’s degree in neuroscience, artificial intelligence, or a related discipline, with relevant experience in computational or behavioral neurosciences. Proficiency in Python is required, and preference is given to candidates with experience in PyTorch, Github, SLURM, and/or Linux. A good command of English (oral and written) is necessary; exemptions apply for certain educational backgrounds. Preference is also given to candidates with an Article 9 license (FELASA accreditation) or hands-on experience with animal experimentation. Candidates who do not meet all formal criteria but demonstrate strong motivation are encouraged to apply. Proof of English proficiency may be required unless exempt.
