The interdisciplinary environment provides opportunities to synthesize and optimize hydrogenation catalysts and labeled substrates, perform NMR characterization, and present results at conferences and in scientific journals.

Applicants for the PhD track should have a Master's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field with a strong record in synthetic chemistry. Postdoc candidates require a PhD in Organic/Organometallic Chemistry (or closely related) with demonstrated experience in catalyst and/or isotope-labeled molecule synthesis. Experience with air/moisture-sensitive techniques (Schlenk, glovebox) and homogeneous catalysis is preferred. Good English skills, teamwork, and motivation to translate synthesis into hyperpolarization methods for NMR/MRI are essential. Prior knowledge in NMR/MRI is not required.

The position offers a 3-year contract (PhD, 75% TV-L 13) or a 2.5-year contract (Postdoc, 100% TV-L 13), with access to advanced imaging and chemical facilities. The research group is based at the second-largest University Hospital in Germany, providing a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
