Dr. Qiang Li
in the
department of Physics and Astronomy
.
The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University. This researcher will be responsible for setting up QIS materials synthesis laboratory in case of qubit fabrications, designing and growth of quantum materials in the form of single crystals or thin films in case of quantum materials synthesis, performing physics property characterizations using dilution refrigerates, MPMS, PPMS, and x-ray and/or neutron diffraction/scattering techniques. This position also requires the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with team members having a broad range of scientific and technical backgrounds and levels of experience. In addition, this position will involve training and management of undergraduate or graduate students, development of new proposals, and day-to-day management of laboratories and scientific collaborations.
