Chalmers University of Technology invites applications for a postdoctoral position in the Grommet Research Group, Department of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, focusing on photochemical reactivity under confinement. This research project aims to explore how photochemical reactions differ in solution versus within spatially confined environments, such as coordination cages, with a particular emphasis on synthesizing pharmaceutical building blocks containing four-membered heterocycles. The group specializes in supramolecular chemistry and is dedicated to advancing the understanding of chemical reactivity and selectivity under confinement.

Strong communication skills and an interest in interdisciplinary research are essential, as is proficiency in written and spoken English. The position requires physical presence in Gothenburg for the full two-year contract, and a valid residence permit must be presented by the start date.
