About this position
Join the United Brains 4 Hydrogen (UB4H) program at Eindhoven University of Technology as a postdoctoral researcher focused on interconnecting and fostering cooperation between hydrogen learning communities. UB4H is a pioneering initiative that bridges education, research, and industry to accelerate the green hydrogen transition. The program emphasizes building innovative learning communities and digital solutions to prepare professionals for evolving roles in the energy sector.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will contribute to shaping a responsive ecosystem that enhances collaboration, reduces time-to-job, and drives innovation for a climate-neutral society. Your research will investigate how learning communities can be interconnected across micro, meso, and macro levels to create a sustainable knowledge ecosystem. Working alongside two other postdocs, you will develop strategies to foster collaboration between organizations, focusing on governance models, cooperative strategies, and digital tools that enable scaling and long-term resilience.
The position offers flexibility to refine research questions, develop new frameworks, and engage with diverse stakeholders in the energy transition. You will conduct design-based research, analyze mechanisms that strengthen ecosystem resilience and innovation capacity, and publish both academic papers and practical guidelines. The role involves close collaboration with educational institutions, industry partners, and policymakers to align learning communities with regional and national strategies.
The postdoc is embedded in the Eindhoven School of Education and contributes to the vibrant research ecosystem of the UB4H program. The Department of Applied Physics and Science Education at TU/e is research-driven, with strong connections between research and education, and a commitment to equipping future engineers with the skills needed to impact science, innovation, and society.
