About this position

The postdoctoral researcher will independently plan and conduct experimental studies, including materials synthesis, structural and chemical characterization, and electrochemical evaluation of performance and stability in Na- and Zn-based batteries. Additional responsibilities include data analysis, method development, systematic documentation, and active participation in scientific dissemination through publications and conference presentations.

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, or a closely related field, with documented experience in electrochemical energy storage or battery materials. Experience with biomass-derived materials, carbon materials, sodium-ion or zinc-based batteries, and electrochemical characterization is highly valued. Candidates should demonstrate independent research ability, effective collaboration skills, initiative, problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and scientific curiosity. Proficiency in English is required, while knowledge of Swedish is advantageous but not mandatory.
