The SDAIA-KFUPM Joint Research Center for Artificial Intelligence at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Sadam Al-Azani. The center focuses on advancing AI research in areas such as multimodal AI, medical AI, Quran-related AI, and accessibility-focused AI. Research topics include speech and text applications for Quran studies, multimodal representation learning, medical image generation and validation, information retrieval, trustworthy AI, and assistive technologies for people with special needs.

The fellowship offers an annual salary of USD 48,000, 30 days of paid annual leave, a housing allowance equivalent to three months’ salary, access to specialized research infrastructure (including high-performance computing), campus medical services, and access to state-of-the-art campus facilities and a private beach. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. from a reputable university, obtained within the last three years, and possess excellent research and academic records. Exceptional circumstances may be considered for those outside the three-year window.
