The University of Luxembourg, a leading international research university, invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in development economics within its Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF). The Department of Economics and Management seeks a postdoctoral researcher to join the ROAD project, a joint initiative funded by FNR and FNRS, under the supervision of Professors Luisito Bertinelli and Jean-François Maystadt (UCLouvain).

The successful candidate will conduct empirical research in development economics, focusing on infrastructure and development, and collaborate with a PhD candidate on the same project. Responsibilities include managing large datasets, utilizing non-traditional data sources such as GIS, satellite-based, and social media data, contributing to scientific publications, and participating in conferences. Applicants must hold a PhD in economics, preferably with expertise in applied microeconometrics. Candidates in their final year of doctoral studies may also be considered.
