The Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) at ETH Zürich is offering two Postdoctoral Visiting Lectureships in the history of architecture, urbanism, or landscape. These positions are limited to two years, with one starting in September 2026 and the other in February 2027. The successful candidates will advance specific research themes in close integration with the gta Institute’s ongoing work and contribute substantially to its educational curriculum. Responsibilities include teaching seminar courses at both bachelor and master levels, active participation in the doctoral program, and further teaching duties. In addition, the roles involve engagement with the exhibition department, archives, and publishing house, as well as planning and coordinating workshops, exhibitions, and publications as outputs of research and teaching.

Applicants should be dynamic, innovative, and open-minded young scholars with a strong motivation to engage in teaching, research, and academic life at the gta Institute. A recently completed PhD in architectural history and theory is required, along with proven experience in academic research, writing, and teaching at one or more academic institutions.
