?? We’re looking for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and a PhD candidate to join our multidisciplinary project on:
?? Smart Stimuli-Responsive, Nanobiosensor-Laden, Drug-Eluting Wound Dressings
This project aims to develop next-generation wound care materials that combine intelligent drug release with real-time diagnostic capability, addressing critical challenges in chronic wound management.
?? You'll gain experience in:
Stimuli-responsive nanomaterials
Biosensor integration and characterization
Drug delivery and controlled release technologies
Translational biomedical research
Collaborative international science
?? The project is hosted at SMU under my supervision and co-supervision of Dr Pedzisai Makoni , with strong collaboration and co-supervision from our partner Prof Malama Chisanga at Dalhousie University, Canada.
?? Ideal candidates:
Have a strong background in pharmaceutics, nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, analytical chemistry, or related fields
Are highly motivated, research-driven, and eager to work in a collaborative and impact-driven environment
For postdoc applicants: PhD completed within the last 5 years
For PhD applicants: Master’s degree in a relevant field, with research experience preferred
