PhD Position in Immigrant Women's Health (Nursing) in Canada

The University of Calgary, under the guidance of Full Professor and Canada Research Chair Bukola Salami, is sharing an opportunity for one or two PhD students in the field of nursing, specifically focusing on immigrant women's health in Canada. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in nursing and a demonstrated interest in women's health issues, particularly those affecting immigrant populations. Applicants should have between 2 to 10 peer-reviewed publications and must possess a first class standing, with A range grades or a GPA of 3.5 or higher. The research area centers on health disparities, women's health, and the unique challenges faced by immigrant women in Canada. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic environment with access to resources and mentorship in Black and Racialized Peoples' Health. Funding for this position is approximately $25,000 per year for four years, with the expectation that tuition will be paid from this amount.
