Assistant Professor Tenure-Track Position in Sociology of Work and Professions at Wilfrid Laurier University

The Department of Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo campus) is inviting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position specializing in the Sociology of Work and Professions, with the ability to teach sociological theory. The appointment is set to begin on July 1, 2026, pending budgetary approval. The department is recognized for its strengths in equity and social justice research and teaching, and is one of the largest in the Faculty of Arts at Laurier. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and advance a research program in the sociology of work and professions, demonstrating proven research excellence through publications, scholarly dissemination, grants, or awards.
