Fully-Funded PhD Positions in Smart Water Networks, Digital Twins, and Cyber-Physical Systems at University of Cyprus

The KIOS Research and Innovation Center of Excellence at the University of Cyprus is offering two fully-funded PhD positions as part of the MSCA Doctoral Network SPRING. The research areas include Smart Water Networks, Digital Twins, Cyber-Physical Systems Security, Fault Impact Risk Estimation, Emergency Response, and Computational & Artificial Intelligence. The doctoral projects focus on Multi-CPS Resilience Response and Digital Twin Architecture for Critical Infrastructure, aiming to enhance the resilience and security of large-scale energy, water, and transport systems. Successful candidates will join an international training network comprising over 15 institutions, with opportunities for secondments in France, Germany, and Greece. The positions are fully funded for 36 months, offering a competitive salary of €34,151 per year plus mobility and family allowances. The program provides a unique environment for interdisciplinary research and real-world impact on critical infrastructure systems. Applicants must hold a BSc or MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics, and must not already possess a PhD. Candidates should not have resided or carried out their main activity in Cyprus for more than 12 months in the past 3 years. Proficiency in English is required, with a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.
