Webinar: Career Conversations in Medical Sciences for PhDs and Postdocs – Academia and Industry Transitions

The Uppsala University Postdoc Association (UUPA) and Junior Faculty invite you to the next session of their Career Conversations webinar series, designed for postdocs, junior PhD holders, and researchers considering their future career paths. This session, taking place on December 18, 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00 CET via Zoom, will focus on navigating career transitions between academia and industry, with insights from Professor Jan Eriksson of the Department of Medical Sciences, Clinical Diabetology & Metabolism at Uppsala University. Professor Eriksson will share his personal journey, offering practical advice on moving from academia to industry and back, highlighting the challenges and opportunities in medical research careers. The event is open to all interested participants, especially those in medical sciences, clinical research, and related fields. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and expand their professional network. To participate, register online by December 16, 2025. The registration form will ask for your email, name, years since PhD defense, campus, disciplinary domain, and current position. The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants the day before the event.
