Postdoctoral Researcher in Consumer Behaviour and Sustainability (TIPRO Project) at Copenhagen Business School
The Department of Management, Society and Communication (MSC) at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in consumer behaviour and sustainability. This position is part of the TIPRO project, a Horizon Europe partnership focused on accelerating the transition to sustainable food systems in Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The project is a collaboration between KU Leuven, CBS, Wageningen University, and food sector partners, with CBS leading the work package on food consumption and behavioural interventions.
The successful candidate will design, execute, and analyze experimental consumer research under the supervision of Associate Professor Meike Janssen. The research will focus on interventions to change consumer behaviour in various food environments, contributing to the broader goals of sustainable consumption and policy development. The postdoc may also participate in related collaborative projects and support new grant applications.
Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent in consumer behaviour, marketing, psychology, behavioural economics, food sciences, or a related field. Essential qualifications include professional proficiency in English and experience with consumer experiments and quantitative statistical analysis. Project management experience and proficiency in Danish and/or Dutch are advantageous but not required. The position is non-tenured, funded for 29 months with the possibility of extension to 36 months if teaching duties are undertaken. The postdoc is expected to be regularly present at CBS and actively engage with the department and the Consumer & Behavioural Insights Group.
MSC is a vibrant, interdisciplinary department bringing together scholars from management, communication, and the social sciences, with a strong focus on the interaction between business, society, and government. The Consumer & Behavioural Insights Group specializes in quantitative research on market demand and sustainability. CBS is committed to diversity and excellence in research and teaching, and encourages applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds.
