PhD and Postdoctoral Positions in Mechano-Responsive Molecules, Systems Chemistry, and Robotics at University of Groningen
The Autonomous Soft Materials Research Group at the University of Groningen, led by Dr. Michael Lerch, is recruiting for both PhD and postdoctoral positions in the fields of mechano-responsive molecules, systems chemistry, and robotics. The group focuses on developing new chemical systems, including mechano-responsive molecules and chemical touch sensors, to drive next-generation robots. Research areas include organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry, polymers, reaction-diffusion systems, microfluidics, micro- and nanofabrication, and 3D/4D printing. Candidates will have the opportunity to work on adaptive materials and functional coatings, contributing to the advancement of autonomous materials and robotics.
PhD applicants should have a strong background in synthetic chemistry, applied physics, materials sciences, or nanosciences, and are expected to provide a cover letter, CV, transcript of records, and contact details of two references.
