Fully Funded PhD Position in Econometrics, Statistics, and Quantitative Economics at Aarhus University
Aarhus University is offering a fully funded PhD position in Econometrics through the Aarhus BSS Graduate School, in connection with the Aarhus Center for Econometrics (ACE), a Center of Excellence funded by the Danish National Research Foundation. The research project focuses on advanced econometric theory and methodology, including cluster-dependent estimation and inference, high-dimensional parameter analysis, robust methods for outliers, bootstrap theory, and nonparametric inference. The ACE center collaborates with leading institutions such as Oxford, Princeton, MIT, and UC Berkeley, providing a vibrant and international research environment.
The PhD position is a 36-month, full-time funded opportunity, including coursework, teaching, and a 3–9 month research stay abroad. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively on research papers, develop research questions, and present results at conferences and seminars. Applicants should have a strong background in econometrics, economics, statistics, or mathematics, with excellent analytical and mathematical skills, and a genuine passion for research. A project proposal related to the research topics is required as part of the application.
