AI and Quantum Computing Research Positions (PhD, Postdoc, Masters) at National Chengchi University

The Financial AI Cloud Research Center at the Department of Management Information Systems, College of Commerce, National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taiwan, is recruiting for multiple research positions in the interdisciplinary fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing (QC). Openings include one postdoctoral researcher, one full-time research assistant (bachelor’s or master’s level), and 2–3 Ph.D. and master’s student positions. The research group, led by Distinguished Professor Rua-Huan Tsaih, focuses on cutting-edge topics such as quantum computing for machine learning model design, AI-assisted quantum algorithms and hardware simulation, mathematical and computational foundations of next-generation computation, and applications of AI and quantum computing in optimization, simulation, and computational finance. Applicants should have a background in at least one of the following: information systems, computer science, computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or finance. Specific requirements vary by position: postdoctoral candidates must have a Ph.D. and a strong publication record, research assistants need a bachelor’s or master’s degree and strong programming skills, and Ph.D./master’s applicants should demonstrate research interest and relevant technical skills. Ph.D. applicants must submit a research proposal, and master’s applicants should have a solid mathematical foundation. Application materials include a CV, personal statement, transcripts (for students), thesis abstract (if available), up to three representative works, and two recommendation letters (for postdoc/Ph.D.). The center offers competitive compensation, research funding, scholarships and assistantships for students, access to advanced research computing resources, international research collaboration opportunities, and support for international conference travel. The environment is highly interdisciplinary and research-intensive, providing an excellent platform for those interested in AI, quantum computing, and their applications in finance and optimization. The application deadline is August 31, 2026, with rolling review. For more information, visit the lab’s website or contact Distinguished Professor Tsaih at [email protected].
