Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantum Technology, Photonics, and Electrical Engineering at IISc Bengaluru
The Photonics Research Laboratory (PRL) at the Centre for Nano Science and Engineering (CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, is seeking applications for a Post-Doctoral Researcher/Research Associate position in the field of quantum technology. This opportunity is ideal for highly motivated researchers with a PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related disciplines, and with expertise in Quantum Communication, Quantum Optics, or Quantum Cryptography.
The successful candidate will contribute to advanced research in quantum key distribution (QKD), system design, optical modulation and detection, single-photon devices, and the development of fibre and free-space QKD testbeds. The role also involves working with photon counting electronics, simulation frameworks, leading experiments, mentoring students, and producing high-impact technical outputs. The research is interdisciplinary, combining nano-scale systems, photonics, and quantum information science.
Applicants should have completed their PhD or have submitted their thesis, and must demonstrate relevant research experience in the specified areas. The position offers remuneration as per DST norms.
