Professor of Practice Positions in Supply Chain Management at Texas Tech University

The Area of Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University is seeking applications for up to two full-time, nine-month Professor of Practice positions in Supply Chain Management. The appointments will begin in Fall 2026. The positions are open rank, including Assistant Professor of Practice, Associate Professor of Practice, or Professor of Practice, and are designed for individuals with exceptional backgrounds and achievements in academic, business, government, or other professional practice. Primary responsibilities include teaching in the area of expertise, mentoring students in professional and career preparation, and building and maintaining industry relationships to support teaching and recruiting activities. The role also involves providing service to the department, college, and university, and supporting world-class research activities. The department values experience working with diverse student populations and encourages applicants who can contribute to the university’s strategic priorities of diversity, innovation, and community engagement. Required qualifications include a graduate business degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution, as well as industry or research experience in core supply chain management functions such as logistics, operations, and sourcing. Candidates must be able to teach undergraduate or graduate supply chain management courses. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. in logistics or supply chain management, meaningful industry work experience, university-level teaching expertise, a record or potential for publishing in top-tier academic SCM journals, exceptional communication skills, and a student-centered service orientation.
