Postdoc in Allergy & Immunology Research – Wymann Lab, University of Basel
The Wymann Lab at the University of Basel, Switzerland, is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher for a project targeting allergic hypersensitivity, allergy, immunology, and metabolic processes. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team investigating stress and lipid kinase signaling pathways in allergy, chronic inflammation, and cancer. The research involves biochemical, cellular, and mouse genetic studies, with opportunities to collaborate with chemists developing novel bioactive small molecules for translational research.
Applicants should have a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology, or a related life science discipline. Required skills include expertise in immunology, allergy, FACS (analysis and cell sorting), and mouse models. Certification in LTK Module 1 (Switzerland) or FELASA A/C/D (EU) is mandatory for animal work. A strong publication record and/or patents are expected.
The position offers a salary according to University of Basel regulations, with the initial contract for one year and possible extension based on performance. The lab provides a dynamic, interdisciplinary research environment with a focus on translational biomedical science. The application deadline is December 11, 2025. Interested candidates should apply using both mandatory forms via the University of Basel job portal and ensure all required documents and certifications are included.
Key research areas include allergy, immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, lipid kinase signaling, chronic inflammation, cancer, mouse models, and FACS. The Wymann Lab is located at DBM Mattenstrasse, University of Basel, Switzerland.
