The RANGE project, funded by the Dutch Embassy in Kenya, is offering fully funded MSc scholarships for eligible Kenyan students, with a strong focus on those from Isiolo, Marsabit, or Samburu counties. The scholarships are for the MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation at the University of Twente, Faculty ITC. The RANGE project aims to strengthen the resilience of communities in Kenya's Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) through improved rangeland management, sustainable production, and the use of advanced earth observation and geospatial techniques. This initiative is part of a broader effort to combine local knowledge with cutting-edge technology to address environmental and socio-economic challenges in rangeland ecosystems.

Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor's degree (such as in geo-sciences or environmental studies), demonstrate English proficiency (TOEFL iBT 80+ or IELTS 6.0+), and preferably have work experience in ASAL or rangeland contexts. A minimum CGPA of 3.0/4.0 or Upper Second Class standing is required, though Lower Second Class may be considered with relevant experience. Basic computer skills and familiarity with GIS and spatial data are recommended. All applications are assessed individually, and a motivation letter and CV are required. Priority is given to young professionals from the target counties.
