My lab at UMass Biomedical Engineering is recruiting !two! PhD students for fully exciting and very different projects, all tight into bioelectronics. If you’re passionate about shaping the future of bioelectronics and working in an inclusive, interdisciplinary environment, this is for you!
Position A: Neuromorphic Biohybrids
Focus: Creating neuromorphic biohybrids for biomedical applications
Who we’re looking for:
Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) students
Preferred Skills: Neuromorphic Computing, Spiking Neural Networks , Programming ( Python )
Minimal Skills: Circuits & Hardware, Nanoelectronics , Nanomaterials
Start date: ASAP
Position B: Implantable Bioelectronics
Focus: Integrating electronics with cells and tissues (including animal models)
Who we’re looking for:
Biomedical Engineering (BME) students
Preferred Skills: Tissue Engineering, Organoids , Biomaterials , Animal Work, Electrophysiology
Minimal Skills: Cell Culture, Microscopy & Imaging , Programming ( Python )
Start date: Fall 2025 or earlier
