I am currently recruiting a highly motivated PhD student for a fully funded position at LSBU, starting in September 2025.
?? Project Title:
Developing a Computer Vision-Enabled Spatial Augmented Reality Framework for Human-Centric Smart Assembly
This research will explore how emerging technologies—computer vision, machine learning, and spatial augmented reality (SAR)—can improve cognitive ergonomics and task performance in smart manufacturing environments. Please see attached for further technical details.
?? Studentship includes:
• Full tuition fee waiver (Home or International)
• Annual stipend of £21,622 (including London weighting)
• 3 years of funding + 1 writing-up year (fee waiver only)
?? Applicant Profile:
• Academic background in machine learning, computer vision, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python (PyTorch/OpenCV) or MATLAB
• Interest in applied AI and HCI
• Minimum 2.1 honours degree (or international equivalent)
