Chonnam National University’s Institute of Fisheries Science in South Korea is offering an excellent fully funded PhD position focused on Environmental DNA (eDNA) research and marine ecosystem studies. This opportunity is ideal for students passionate about marine science, molecular ecology, and bioinformatics. The research will involve eDNA experimentation, advanced bioinformatics, and data analysis to better understand marine ecosystems at the molecular level.

The successful candidate will receive comprehensive financial support, including full tuition coverage (6 million KRW annually), a monthly stipend of 1.2 million KRW, and the possibility of an additional teaching assistant allowance of up to 300,000 KRW per month. The first semester tuition is fully covered, ensuring a strong start to your doctoral studies.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Marine Science, or a related field. Experience or knowledge in bioinformatics is required, and candidates with a Q1 publication are preferred.
