Fully Funded PhD Positions at Max Planck Graduate Center for Quantum Materials (MPGC-QM) Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Germany

The Max Planck Graduate Center for Quantum Materials (MPGC-QM) is offering multiple fully funded PhD positions for highly motivated students interested in the rapidly evolving field of quantum materials. This interdisciplinary program is a collaboration among five world-leading Max Planck Institutes located in Dresden, Hamburg, Halle, and Stuttgart, Germany, and includes joint PhD projects with Oxford University. Students in joint projects will split their time between Oxford and a participating Max Planck Institute, earning their PhD from Oxford University.

MPGC-QM provides a vibrant research environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge projects in quantum materials, condensed matter physics, materials physics, computational physics, and related areas. The structured PhD program is conducted in English and offers individual supervision and mentoring by internationally recognized group leaders. More than 30 distinguished scientists actively participate, ensuring a rich academic experience and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations across diverse research topics.

PhD students benefit from full funding, which covers tuition and provides additional support for attending scientific meetings and trainings.
