The Martin Pumera Group at CEITEC, Brno University of Technology, is offering fully funded PhD positions in advanced materials, nanorobotics, and green energy. Three main PhD topics are available: (1) Advanced Materials and Interfaces for Electrochemical Ammonia Synthesis Toward Green Energy, focusing on the design of catalysts and electrode architectures for sustainable ammonia production; (2) Nanorobots for Targeted Brain Cancer Therapy, involving the development of magnetically actuated nanorobots for precision cancer treatment; and (3) 3D Printing of Nanorobot-Enhanced Functional Foods and Drugs, which explores the integration of engineered nanorobots into biocompatible matrices for advanced food and pharmaceutical applications.
Applicants should have a background in materials science, chemistry, physics, biomedical engineering, nanotechnology, or related fields, and be motivated for experimental research. No career break after MSc is allowed. Experience with electrochemistry, nanomaterials, micro/nanorobotics, or biointerfaces is advantageous but not required.
