The University of Limerick, in partnership with Science Foundation Ireland, is offering three fully funded PhD positions in Vision-Enhanced Inspection for Regulated Manufacturing. Applicants should hold a first or second class honours degree or a master's in computer science, engineering, sciences, or a closely related field, or demonstrate equivalent industry or research experience. Essential skills include strong analytical and communication abilities, high-quality writing, and teamwork. Experience in software development, machine/deep learning, computer vision, digital twins, automation, and regulatory science is highly desirable. Familiarity with frameworks such as AngularJS, TensorFlow, or PyTorch is a plus.
The positions are fully funded, offering a €25,000 annual stipend for four years, full tuition coverage, and additional support for research costs, conference travel, and publications.
