This doctoral research assistant position is a full-time PhD opportunity, where you will conduct original scientific research in Family Property Law under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alain-Laurent Verbeke. Your responsibilities will include both independent research and participation in ongoing projects at the Institute. Additionally, you will provide teaching support, such as assisting with exams, practical exercises, seminars, and supervising student papers.

Applicants must hold a master's degree in law with excellent academic results. A master's in notary law is considered an advantage, and international experience (such as Erasmus exchange) is a plus. Due to the teaching component, proficiency in Dutch is required. The position offers a full-time contract for two years starting September 1, 2026, with the possibility of renewal twice for two years each, up to a maximum of six years.
