The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Design (CPD) at the University of Copenhagen is offering fully funded PhD and integrated MSc+PhD positions in the field of de novo protein design. Research projects span a wide range of topics, such as the design and characterization of novel protein structures, installation of catalytic activities, targeting subcellular complexes, molecular machine design, and applications in phage therapy. The CPD offers state-of-the-art computational and experimental facilities, a collaborative and inclusive research environment, and regular interactions with world-leading protein designers.

There are two entry routes: a 3-year PhD program for candidates with a relevant master's degree, and an integrated MSc+PhD program (up to 5 years) for those with a relevant bachelor's degree. Both tracks provide comprehensive training in theoretical and practical aspects of protein design, including computational and AI methods, and offer opportunities for teaching, international collaboration, and conference participation.
