PhD in AI for Cybersecurity: Systems and Network Security University of Luxembourg in Luxembourg

The University of Luxembourg is offering a PhD position in AI for Cybersecurity, focusing on systems and network security at the Kirchberg Campus. The successful candidate will conduct research in artificial intelligence applied to cybersecurity, particularly for critical infrastructure, and will develop functional prototypes and technology demonstrators in collaboration with industry and government partners. The role also involves contributing to teaching and supervising Master students in the Cybersecurity program, as well as presenting research results at scientific conferences, journals, and technology events.

Applicants should hold an MSc or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, and demonstrate a strong interest in security research or engineering. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and eligibility is restricted to citizens of EU/EEA/EFTA countries, NATO Allies, or NATO Indo-Pacific partners. A B2-level proficiency in the thesis language is required, as per official requirements.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 36 months (full-time, 40 hours per week) with a gross annual salary of €41,976.
