The Surface Interactions and Soft Matter (SISM) group at the Future Industries Institute, University of Adelaide, is seeking exceptional PhD candidates interested in soft matter and interfacial phenomena. The group investigates topics such as lipid crystallisation in emulsion systems and the interactions of droplets and bubbles with surfaces, blending physical chemistry, materials science, and real-world applications. Research is conducted in collaboration with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Enabling Eco-Efficient Beneficiation of Minerals (COEMinerals).

Applicants should have an MSc degree in physical chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials engineering.
