The Nieratschker Lab at Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen is seeking a talented PhD researcher for a position in Molecular Psychiatry, with a focus on neuroscience, neuroimaging, and epigenetics. The research group investigates the genetic and epigenetic foundations of psychiatric disorders, aiming to develop improved therapeutic strategies through interdisciplinary and translational research. The successful candidate will collect and analyze data from children and adolescents in MRI environments, conduct laboratory work in molecular biology and epigenetics, and participate in comparative studies involving international collaboration, including a funded research stay in Uppsala, Sweden.

Applicants should hold a university or Master's degree in Medicine, Molecular Medicine, Biology, Neuroscience, or related fields, and possess solid knowledge in molecular biology, genetics, and epigenetics. Experience with human subject research, behavioral testing, and/or neuroimaging is required. High motivation, initiative, teamwork, and strong communication skills are essential. Good German language skills are advantageous but not mandatory; candidates willing to learn German are encouraged to apply. Empathy and sensitivity in working with study participants, including minors, are important qualities for this role.

The position is fixed-term for 3 years at 65% employment, with salary based on the German public service scale (TV-L) and standard public sector benefits.
