The research aims to elucidate a new facet of fungal pathogenesis reliant on RNA modification and may identify novel druggable regulatory interfaces for future therapeutics. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or related disciplines. Candidates nearing completion of their degree are also welcome. A strong experimental background in molecular microbiology and/or nucleic acids biology is required, and experience with RNA modifications or natural products chemistry/chemical analytics is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work in an international, interdisciplinary team are essential.
