Funding
The position is fully funded for four years, with a gross monthly salary ranging from €3,059 in the first year to €3,881 in the fourth year, in accordance with the Dutch universities' collective labour agreement (CAO-NU). Benefits include a minimum of 232 leave hours for full-time employment, additional leave hours for a 40-hour workweek, free access to campus sports facilities, parental leave options, and a training programme through Twente Graduate School.

Requirements
Applicants must hold a master's degree in social sciences or a multidisciplinary program, preferably in sociology, human geography, social psychology, communication sciences, public administration, CoSEM, innovation studies, or STS. Affinity with multi-, inter-, and transdisciplinary research and energy technology (especially smart grids) is required. Candidates should be proactive in social work environments and participatory workshops, comfortable at the interface of academia and practice, and possess effective communication skills. Strong command of Dutch (C1 level) and English (C1 level) in speaking and writing is mandatory. Willingness to engage in minor teaching activities and supervise graduation students is expected.
