About this position

I'm excited to share that our lab was awarded an NIH R35 MIRA grant from NIGMS! This $1.8 million dollar grant will fund synthetic biology work in my lab at Central Michigan University for the next 5 years to develop genetically encoded sensors for detecting cell signaling events including growth factor receptor activation and cell cycle progression. We are also applying these sensors as drivers of genetic circuits to perturb or amplify these cell signaling events based on activity of specific kinases.

This exciting news means our lab is actively recruiting PhD students and Postdocs to work on this or related projects that were recently funded!
