The Programmable Polymers Laboratory at the Center for Advanced Technologies, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, is seeking a post-doctoral researcher for the Opus Lap Project, funded by the National Science Centre (NCN). Led by Prof. UAM Dr. hab. inż. Róża Szweda, the lab focuses on the development of innovative synthesis methods for polymers with precisely controlled monomer sequences, enabling the creation of materials that self-organize into complex supramolecular structures.
The research aims to elucidate the mechanisms of single-chain folding and hierarchical self-organization, paving the way for the design of new, nature-inspired materials with advanced properties. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team working at the intersection of organic chemistry, polymer science, and materials engineering.

Required skills include hands-on experience with chromatographic methods (GC, HPLC, Flash), knowledge of spectroscopic methods (NMR, FTIR, CD, UV-vis, Fluorescence), ability to design and perform organic syntheses, experience with synthesizers (phosphoramidite chemistry preferred), and proficiency in scientific writing and presentation. Candidates must have obtained their doctoral degree from an institution other than Adam Mickiewicz University or have completed at least a 10-month continuous postdoctoral internship in a different institution and country. Excellent English is required. The PhD must have been obtained in the year of employment or within the previous 7 years (with possible extensions for documented leave or illness). During the contract, candidates cannot receive remuneration from another employer.
