The research group specializes in turbomachinery and aeroacoustics, investigating new propulsion concepts and aerothermal design of turbomachinery components. The EXAELIA project, central to this position, aims to develop future aircraft and propulsion technologies that support climate neutrality in aviation by 2050. The project integrates expertise from aircraft and engine design to operations, with the goal of creating a next-generation flight test platform for innovative technologies.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will lead research activities within a large EU project, collaborate with industry and academic partners across Europe, and supervise master’s and PhD students. The role emphasizes hydrogen-enabled propulsion concepts, multidisciplinary modelling, and numerical simulation tools such as Python, Matlab, and CFD. You will contribute to high-quality publications and support the development of junior researchers, while engaging in teaching opportunities at undergraduate and master’s levels.
