This postdoctoral fellowship opportunity at the Centre for Molecular Biophysics (CBM), National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS UPR 4301), University of Tours, France, is designed for candidates interested in applying to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships. The successful applicant will join the Nanomedicines and Nanoprobes department (NMNS), a multidisciplinary research unit with expertise spanning chemistry, physics, and biology. The project focuses on the development and optimization of plasmid transfection in muscle in vitro and in vivo models, aiming to enable autologous antibody production and vectorized antibodies for therapeutic purposes, particularly in the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases.

Therapeutic antibodies are currently produced in bioreactors, a process that is both expensive and time-consuming. This research seeks to innovate drug delivery by enabling patient cells to produce therapeutic antibodies directly, offering a potentially transformative approach to disease treatment. The MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships support researchers holding a PhD who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training and international, inter-sectoral, and interdisciplinary mobility.

The position is contingent upon successful application to the MSCA Fellowship. The candidate will be hosted in Tours, Loire Valley, within the NMNS department, and will lead the in vivo autologous production of therapeutic antibodies project. By the end of the two-year contract, the candidate will be supported by both the University of Tours and CNRS to apply for a tenured position at CNRS.

Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent in cell biology or biotechnology, with postdoctoral experience and 4–8 years of full-time research experience in biological sciences. Excellent English language skills are required. Eligibility for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026, including selection by an international scientific committee, is mandatory.
