Calico Life Sciences, in collaboration with Stanford University School of Medicine, is offering a fully funded postdoctoral position in the lab of Principal Investigator Oliver Hahn. The research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of brain aging, particularly the role of immune cells in the aging brain, and explores whether these processes can be reversed. The lab has developed innovative in vivo and in vitro systems to study how young immune cells behave in aged brain environments, with recent findings showing rapid aging of young cells in old brains. The lab is also at the forefront of integrating AI and data science tools to accelerate discovery and maximize the value of generated data.
