Postdoctoral Position in Organic Chemistry and Total Synthesis of Natural Products Université Paris Cité in France

The Roulland team at Université Paris Cité, based in the Faculty of Pharmacy, is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher for an ambitious project in the total synthesis of structurally complex natural products, specifically targeting the cyathane family. The group, led by Emmanuel Roulland (CR CNRS), specializes in organic chemistry, total synthesis, and the development of new synthetic methods relevant to medicinal chemistry and drug design. The research will be conducted within the UMR CiTCoM, a joint research unit of 150 people under the CNRS and Université Paris Cité, providing a dynamic and well-resourced scientific environment.

The successful candidate will work on the total synthesis of natural products such as allocyathin B2, allocyathin B3, and cyafrin B4, as illustrated in the announcement. The project involves advanced organic synthesis techniques and aims to contribute to the understanding and development of new synthetic strategies for complex molecules with potential biological and pharmaceutical applications.

Applicants must have a PhD in organic chemistry and prior experience in total synthesis or the development of new selective synthetic methods. The position is open to candidates with recognized disability status. The contract is for 18 months, starting as early as March 1, 2026, with a gross monthly salary from 3131 euros.
